.... discover new understandings from times beginning …. Day 1 Arrive Yulara/Ayers Rock before mid-day. Visits to Aboriginal cultural centre. Uluru guided base walk - afternoon base walk of Uluru. Introductions
to song lines. Campfire and evening meal. Uluru sunset. Day 2 - Uluru
sunrise ceremony. Breakfast at Uluru - Meetings (if available)
with local Aboriginal custodians and welcome to country. Free time at Uluru for personal time and additional walks. Day 3 - Sunrise
at Kata Tjuta and early morning walk in “Valley of the Winds”. Return to
Yulara/Uluru for sunset from local high vantage point over this spectacular
landscape. Overnight camp at Yulara. Day 4 Early
departure for Kings Canyon & Watarrka National Park –
setup camp.
Experience
the mighty Kings Canyon with a 3 hour walk. Visit “Garden of Eden”, and the
spectacular north and south walls. Day 5 -
Depart
for drive to Hermannsburg mission, tour mission and site of Aboriginal art
school, on through this spectacular landscape. Continue to Stanley Chasm and
Simpson’s gap. Introduction to this Albert Namatjira country by local
custodian. Camp on land with campfire by the river. Day 6 – Arrive Alice Springs via Western McDonnell ranges and Honeymoon Gap
for local landmarks tour – in time for departing flights to cities, or
optional overnight extension to connect with “A town like Alice” It
is recommended to arrive at least one day prior to tour departure –
accommodation options available.
